          MISS TRANS NEW ENGLAND PAGEANT RULES AND REGULATIONS:
           Please read, very carefully, the requirements listed below. Then, we will ask the contestant to sign this document.


          Contestants Must be at least 18 years of age to enter the Miss Trans New England Pageant.

          1. From New England or New York City; of good character and a citizen of the United States of America.

          2. Contestants will compete in:

          a. Designated competition segments, which may include talent, interview, glamour, poise, evening wear, and pre-pageant activities.

          b. Prepare and display a talent presentation not to exceed five minutes. This talent may be singing, dancing, poetry, playing a musical instrument, dramatic reading, speech, art display, or any other talent that may be reasonably performed on stage.

          3. Contestants will agree to arrive on time to participate in all rehearsals, publicity events, workshops, and any other assigned functions, unless excused by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

          4. Contestants will be required to furnish clothing for all segments of competition to include: Personal Interview (business suit); Evening Wear (evening gown or dress); and Talent Costume (as befits the talent). All clothing and other items worn for the aforementioned events must be approved by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Any costumes purchased by the Miss Trans New England Pageant, if any, will remain the sole property of this Pageant. All props, staging and lighting, requested by the Contestant for the talent segment, are subject to approval of the Chief Executive  Officer (CEO).

          5. Contestants must confirm a platform to which they will be dedicating their efforts. Contestants will prepare and present their platform during the Personal Interview competition and on stage during the introduction phase of competition.

          6. You are a role model for your peers and as such the following applies:

          a. Any Contestant exhibiting rude or uncooperative behavior to any member of the following, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Production Staff or and Other Contestant, will be given a letter of disqualification by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This includes disruptive behavior during any pre-pageant activities or the pageant itself. 

          b. There will be no drinking of alcohol or consumption of any controlled substance during the pageant itself. If there is a function where alcohol is served, Contestants will maintain themselves with appropriate behavior. If a Contestant is found to be exhibiting negative behavior under the influence of alcohol or drugs while wearing the pageant crown or sash, she will be immediately disqualified without further recourse.

          7. Contestant Orientation will take place on an assigned date.

          8. Official photographs will be taken on specified days by specified photographer(s) for inclusion in the Pageant Program. Contestants must have these photographs taken and will adhere to any instructions issued by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) regarding appointments, attire, makeup, hair or other requirements. Contestants are under no obligation to purchase any photographs. These photos will be used on our website and for the Miss Trans New England Photogenic phase of competition.

          9. All rehearsals, workshops, and/or activities are closed unless specified by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

          10. No unauthorized persons will be admitted in the theater, on stage, backstage, or, in the dressing room areas during the Pageant or rehearsals. Authorized persons will be determined by the Pageant Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

          11. Contestant will be assigned a number of Pageant tickets for which they will be responsible to sell. All Pageant ticket monies and/or unsold tickets will be returned no later than the date specified by the Pageant Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Contestants will be responsible for any lost or stolen monies or tickets in their possession and will reimburse the Pageant for such.

          12. The New Miss Trans New England and her Court and all Contestants are expected to attend the post-Pageant reception, if any, immediately after the Pageant, to make a brief appearance.

          13. Contestant agrees that, if selected Miss Trans New England, or becomes a member of the Court, she will not give written, verbal, or photographic endorsement of any product or commercial organization; nor will she permit any photographs to be used in connection with any advertised product or service. All photos taken in pageant dress will not be put on any website or anywhere else without specific permission of the Miss Trans New England Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

          14. Miss Trans New England and her Court agree, to participate, when available, in functions from the date of the Pageant on September  2012 through the date of the 2013 Pageant when the new Court will replace them. Any member of the court relinquishing her position as Miss Trans New England, First Alternate and Miss Trans New England Photogenic within the first six months after the Pageant or before her Fundraisers have been performed, will forfeit any trophies and monies awarded on Pageant night. The Contestant who replaces a member of the Court will receive money on a pro-rata basis according to the number of months remaining.

          15. Contestants on the Court have one (l) year from the date of the Pageant in which they were chosen to receive their awards.

          16. All Contestants must immediately notify the Pageant Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of any change in address, phone number, or other information submitted on the application form.

          17. Miss Trans New England is required to do at least two fundraisers during her term: One for Miss Trans New England Pageant and one for her chosen platform, with help from her courts.     

          Miss Trans New England Court Will Consist of the Following:

          Miss Trans New England

          Miss Trans New England First Alternate

          Miss Trans New England Photogenic

          If there is any damage to the Miss Trans New England crown there is a $100.00 fee to replace. 

          If there is damage to a Court’s crown there will be a $50.00 fee to replace.      

          Each member of the court will keep her crown after her term but is not allowed  to wear it to any function unless it has to do with the Miss Trans New England Pageant and has been approved by the Chief Executive Officer (C.E.O.)

          We welcome your application and look forward to helping you prepare for this special event. Though all of you cannot win the positions on the Court, we realize that, in your own right, you are really all winners!
